This week we wanted to do a senior spotlight on Riley Robertson! We asked her a series of questions about her high school experience and here are her answers:
During high school some of her favorite activities she did were volleyball, cavalier sweatshop, Gamechanger, and Governors Honors Society. After high school she plans to attend WVU and major in biology. A moment during her years that really stood out to her was getting to attend the West Virginia volleyball State tournament with her team. We asked her what advice she would give to the next seniors coming up, she said she would tell them: “Stay true to who you are and figure out what you can do that makes you happy.” If she could go back and change anything throughout her years she would take advantage of every opportunity she was presented with. Although her high school experience was stressful at times she said it was worth it in the end. Out of all the teachers she had through these four years, Mr. price inspired her the most. He inspired her to never doubt herself and believe that she can always accomplish the things she wants to.
Out of all of her great memories here she will miss being in a close-knit community and getting to spend time with her friends the most. Throughout sports her favorite memory was when they all went out to eat and spent time together before their very last game. During her years her close friends made a big impact on her. “My friends made me appreciate school more and made stressful situations enjoyable.”
We enjoyed hearing Riley’s answers so much! She is such a sweet soul and we want to wish her the very best of luck at accomplishing her dreams, and doing whatever she puts her mind to.
