Officials have reported that 30 U.S. citizens were killed, and 13 remained unaccounted for. Though it is unclear how many of them were being held hostage. Families in the United States and Israel are continuing to pray for their loved ones who were involved or missing in the wake of the Hamas assault that began on October 7th. This attack killed more than 1,400 people, including at the very least 30 American citizens, according to U.S. officials. The missing American Citizens included a mother and daughter from the Chicago area. They were visiting relatives in Israel when the attacks began. A recent high school graduate from Long Island, and a 23-year-old was attending a large music festival who came under attack from Hamas.

It is so important to remember that innocent lives are being lost on both sides, and that Hamas is not Palestine. Palestine is not Hamas. There are innocent Palestinians who have nothing to do with Hamas. As Marianne Williamson says, “An eye for an eye leaves everyone dead.” I pray for a peaceful solution.
