Recently Russia’s president Vladimir Putin has reached out to North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un to meet in order to conduct an arms deal with the two countries according to the U.S. government. Speculations are rising on Putin wondering if he’s nervous about the ongoing war in Ukraine.
On Monday The National Security Council warned that arms negotiations between North Korea and Russia are “actively advancing”. Russian Defense Minister Sergei shoigu visited Pyongyang, capital of North Korea during July as an attempt to convince them to sell artillery ammunition to Moscow.
Though no sources say the exact time the meeting will occur, South Korea’s National Intelligence Service said this Tuesday that it’s “closely monitoring the possibility of Kim Jong Un visiting Russia soon.” I wouldn’t be too alarmed of this matter but this is definitely something to keep a lookout for as it could be a possible hint of the Russian army losing power and ammunition/weaponry.
