One of the big debates in the world today is,” Is it ethical to eat meat?” Meat such as: beef, pork, poultry, fish, and many more is one of the main ingredients in most of the world. Most cultures and country rely on meat for their main source of protein and food. 88 percent or a little over 7 billion people worldwide eat meat, but what about that extra 22 percent of people? Why don’t they eat meat. What made them stop eating it? And do they thing it is ethical to eat mean?
When asking most people, the common conciseness was, ” I love meat.” and,”Why wouldn’t someone want to eat meat?” But what about those who don’t eat meat? There are very few around here who choose not to eat meat, but when asking them to give there opinion of the matter, one one of main things that almost everyone said was,” I think its not so much unethical to eat meat, but its unethical on how they kill the animal, and raise the animals.” They talked about how they wouldn’t mind eating meat but they don’t like how they keep/kill the animals that we consume on a daily basis. But on the other hand some just straight up said” I love animals, and I would never hurt one.” or “Meat hurts my stomach so i don’t eat it.”
