The Color Run is an event series and five kilometer paint race, inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi. We do it all around the world now but back then they only had it in a few locations. It used to take place in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Australia, Africa, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Now we do it everywhere around the world with different things as well. Some use paint, some use colored powder, some use food color and water. In March 2011, it was first held in Phoenix, Arizona with about 6,000 people joined. It was originally created by someone named Travis Snyder, a Utah native and event producer. His original idea was to stimulate professionals to have fun with each other. The reason they threw colored powder and water is to celebrate the beginning of spring and to commemorate various Hindu legends. A question you might ask is: What does The Color Run celebrate? It is a unique event that celebrates healthiness, happiness, and individuality. I find The Color Run to be quite unique.
