Senior Spotlight: Raven Dove

Senior Spotlight Raven Dove

Raven Dove, a Greenbrier West High school senior, has an exciting background of her last four years. Raven has attended Greenbrier West since 2019, she went through her underclassmen years during the pandemic and has achieved greatness in her years.
Although her freshman year was cut short, she still experienced some exciting events. One of the most interesting events during this time was Raven flew and operated a plane. She flew from Lewisburg to the Greenbrier county line, then back. During flying, she experienced turbulence and strong winds.

Covid greatly affected the sophomore year for the class of 2023, but this did not stop Raven from running track for the school. During her junior year, she ran the 4×1, 4×2, and 200-meter dash. She also did shuttle hurdles and went to states in the 4×1, 4×2, and the shuttle hurdles. Raven is also an advanced art student, she placed second in Carnegie Hall’s Showcase of the Arts.

Her achievements through the years led to her getting signed to run track with Concord University. With her accomplishments and hard work, she has gotten accepted to many colleges and has been accepted into the National Society of Highschool Scholars. Outside of school, Raven enjoys writing poetry which is on the way to being published.

She is one of the many interesting students in the school and I am very lucky to have spent my last four years with her.
