GWHS Hosts Annual Choir Christmas Concert next Monday 12/12
December 7, 2022
The Greenbrier West High School Choir is preparing to present its annual Christmas Concert this coming Monday evening, December 12, 2022. The concert will take place in the GWHS Auditorium, and will start at 7:00pm. The concert is free and open to the public.
Many teachers, staff, and students are very excited for the upcoming concert. It has been described as “spectacular,” and Ms. Robertson has said that folks should be prepared to be “blown away” by the production, organized by Ms. Gilkeson.
Preparing for the concert has been a collaborative, school-wide effort. According to Ms. Gilkeson, the Engineering department has helped with programs and invitations, Construction has built some props, and Mr. Steve Tincher and his students have helped with the decorations along with Mrs. Hicks, Ms. Parker, Mrs. Dufour, and others, including some choir parents.
Students participating in the concert will be allowed to practice and rehearse for the concert all day on Monday the 12th. Lots of time and effort have been put into this event, and the school is “expecting a huge audience” for Monday night’s event. Chef Foley and Cavalier Culinary are planning to provide coffee and hot chocolate along with cookies before and after the performance.
The morning after the concert, Tuesday, December 13th, there will be an “encore” presentation of the concert, for GWHS students and staff.
