How is Easter Celebrated Around the World?

Easter is a largely celebrated holiday around the world. It is celebrated in many different ways in various cultures. An article by For Teachers For Students explains the traditions of Easter from around the world. In Germany, they have an egg tree. Families paint real eggs and then hang them on a tree. In Germany, they also burn their Christmas trees which symbolizes that winter is over and spring is upon them. In Hungary, they have what is called a “Dousing Day.” This is where little girls run down the street and boys throw water on them to make them “good wives.” The girls then give the boys a reward for dousing them.

However you may choose to celebrate Easter, make sure you have fun, eat plenty of sweets and enjoy the company of your loved ones!
