How Is Technology Changing Education?

Technology is constantly changing. It is changing the way we interact with one another, how we behave online and even changing the way we learn in schools. Most teachers in this day and age use technology instead of the “old fashioned” way (paper and pencil), to assign classwork and conduct research. This gives students a way to interact with online teachers and students around the world. They can receive feedback, information, and share questions and concerns with teachers faster. The students do not even have to be in the same room. Online assignments are also useful and convenient if a student is sick and misses a school day, they have the work accessible to them online and can complete it at home. These are some of the reasons why technology is benefiting students and teachers but there are also a few negatives. These include: when teachers are trying to teach a lesson, and some of the students are playing games. Students may also listen to music instead of listening to the teacher and completing  their work. Technology can be a big distraction but the pros outweigh the cons. In conclusion, technology is very useful in today’s society and helps make communication and finding information much easier.
