Wrestling State Tournament

Madison Winfrey, Sports Writer

On April 21st and 22nd, our wrestlers traveled to Huntington Civic Center to fight for another state championship. Our boys wrestled to the best of their abilities, pushing for a 3rd state title in a row. Sadly, we placed 4th in class A and 14th in A/AA. But our very own Noah Brown, won his 2nd state championship. He is our only wrestler that placed. Noah has worked very hard for accomplishments such as this one his entire wrestling career. He has persevered, put more our intos the gym and getting stronger, doing everything he can to get where he is now. This is a very well deserved title. After talking to Noah, he said, “Winning two state titles has been an unbelievable experience.”

Our wrestlers put their best to the mat and we are very proud of them. We can’t wait to see what these boys do next season!
