Digging for Dinos With Ms. Mullins

On Wednesday, March 24th, Ms. Mullins’ 2nd period class did a “Dinosaur Dig” project. The students had read a story about a dinosaur dig in Africa and wanted to do one themselves, so Ms. Mullins got them some dinosaur skeleton escape kits. The little greenish-grey “bones” were in a small block of plaster that resembled a bar of soap. The class went outside and put the dinosaur kit materials in water until the blocks dissolved. They were then able to retrieve the bones and begin constructing their skeletons, some making a T-Rex and others Triceratops.  The students really enjoyed this project and had a fun time doing it together.
