This weekend, March 27th, Greenbrier West hosted a wrestling meet that included, East, Ripley, Meadow Bridge and of course, West. Our wrestlers did amazing defeating the majority of the teams AND beating East by a landslide. Eli White was one of the best wrestlers of the day, wrestling guys who were just as good as him but still coming out on top. 

When talking to Mason Brown and Dalton Heath, they explained to me that the meet was one to remember. From their enthusiastic voices and actions, I could tell that they really enjoyed the meet and had a lot of fun wrestling. Both feel that they are having a great season with not only the wrestling aspect but also with their teammates. 

When speaking with the two, I proceeded to ask Dalton how it felt beating East to which he replied, “It was a great feeling and an experience I won’t forget.” This led me to asking Mason how he feels his personal season is going. He answered, “I’m proud of myself, seeing where I started and where I am now. There is always room for improvement, but Jeremy and Stevie make sure we keep pushing ourselves to be the best we can be.” 

I have faith that our boys will continue pushing and having a great season. I feel confident that they will lead us to states and accomplish a threepeat!
