The referee declares a win for Clayton Robinson. He pinned his opponent and scored 16 points.

On March 11th, West’s wrestli

ng team hosted a meet that included  Buffalo, North Marion, and Webster. West was going strong with only one loss to Buffalo, Noah Brown won a match that went on for six minutes (1:0) and Noah Brown was also the best wrestler of the evening.

Halfway through the meet, Webster got a call that their school was being shut down due to Covid-19, although they said nobody was exposed.

Webster only had four wrestlers at the meet, so Coach Jeremy Tincher said, “We’re not rolling the dice for four kids,” and told everybody who was done wrestling to go home. The boys who had not wrestled finished up the meet. It was a short meet, only about an hour and a half.

Even though the meet was cut short, our wrestlers still put up a fight. The following wrestlers went undefeated at this meet:

Tucker Lilly (106)

Clayton Robinson (126)

Daron Vaughn (152) (first varsity win as a freshman).

Cole Vandall (170)

Mason Brown (182)

Joey Terry (192)

Noah Brown (285)

Ethan Brown (JV) (285)

Congratulations to West Wrestlers! They are having a great year!
