Spring sports will be beginning March 15 and this includes track, softball and baseball. There have been some modifications due to Covid-19 which are the following: 

 

Baseball & Softball: 

  • Face covering are to be worn at all times except when on the field for play
  • Umpires are to wear black face coverings at al times
  • Essential personnel only in the dugout (coaches and players). Scorekeepers, managers, etc. should sit outside the dugout area
  • If possible, extend the dugout area to outside the field
  • No handshaking
  • No sharing of equipment. If equipment must be shared, it must be sanitized after each use
  • No sharing of water bottles, towels, etc. 
  • No spitting

 

Track & Field: 

  • Participants in any session of a track meet are limited to a total of 400 athletes
  • Everyone is to wear a face covering at all times except when performing vigorous activity
  • Social distance should be maintained
  • Teams should have assigned seating
  • It is required that officials wear face coverings at all times
  • No handshakes or hugging
  • Batons should be cleaned after each relay
  • Shot put and discus must be cleaned after each use. The retriever should wear gloves
  • No sharing of water bottles, towels, etc. 

 

The people who are allowed to come to the events/games will be announced at a later date. As of right now household members only but this could change.
