On Monday, October 5, the Greenbrier West Junior Varsity played the Pocahontas County Warriors. West came out ready to work and took an early lead, allowing Pocahontas County only one touchdown and field goal for the entire game. The offense paved the way to a hard fought victory and the defense held the Warriors back from scoring more than one touchdown. It wasn’t without some setbacks though, as one of our own players was injured during the 4th quarter with a little over 2 minutes left to go. One of our Junior Varsity linemen caught an interception and almost took it to the house, showing that West has skilled players in all positions. It was truly a testament to how great our team is. Way to go West, we wish you an undefeated season this year!
