On Monday, September 14th, the Greenbrier West Junior Varsity football team went head to head with the Independence Patriots’ Junior Varsity. The Cavaliers kept the lead on the Patriots throughout the first quarter with a strong defense, but in the second quarter the Patriots slipped through their clutches, scoring a touchdown. However, that did not shake up the Cavaliers! We scored again, ending the first half of the game at Greenbrier West 22, Independence Patriots 6. We played strong throughout the second half, the boys not allowing a single player to slip through their defense. By the end of the well-played game, the final score was Greenbrier West 42, Independence 6, furthering West’s winning streak.
