Greenbrier West Wrestlers went to the WSAZ Invitational Wrestling Tournament at the Mountain Health Arena in Huntington. The WSAZ is an important event because it leads up to the state wrestling tournaments. Our boys did very well considering all the good wrestlers that showed up from all over West Virginia. At the end of the WSAZ, the results were as follows: Noah Brown, runner-up at 220 pounds, Marshall Clere, sixth place at 113 pounds, and John Parks, seventh, at 170 pounds. Coach Tincher said “they approached the WSAZ with consistency and kept that all weekend.” Coach Tincher is all around proud of how his wrestlers did at the WSAZ’s.
