Interview With Reegan Lively

On 11/15/19, our volleyball team will be playing in the West Virginia state volleyball tournament. We decided to highlight some of our senior volleyball players in a series of articles. In this article, we asked our senior, Reegan Lively, about how she feels about playing volleyball.

What does volleyball mean to you?

“It means all of us coming together and working as a team; it’s like a sisterhood.”

Would you play when you get out of high school?

“No, because my view for college is to focus on my work and get that done.”

What made you start to play volleyball?

“I liked it in middle school because we all had that Little League softball and baseball thing, and we never had volleyball. It was a different experience.”

Do you get nervous playing on the court?

“Yes, because when you think of volleyball, you think of very tall girls and that’s usually what we play.”

Do you plan on playing sports through college?

“I thought about doing sports in college, but it would probably be softball because it would be a lot easier to me, but I am still up in the air because I’m not sure what I want to do. I want to go to college and focus on my work and graduate.”

Do you have anything to tell the new upcoming softball team?

“You probably will get disappointed if you don’t get to play on varsity but keep working, and you will get better. Don’t give up.”
