As the football season continues, Greenbrier West headed to James Monroe to face the Mavericks. This game kept us on the edge of our seats as two great teams competed against each other. Unfortunately, in the beginning of the first quarter, James Monroe was able to score a touchdown, which set the tone of the game. With Greenbrier West responding to the touchdown, we were able to gain some points with us taking the lead. As the end of the game approached, with both teams pushing through injuries, sadly, Greenbrier West lost the first ballgame of the season with a score of 27 to 42.
