On Friday, January 25th 2019, Greenbrier East traveled to Greenbrier West for the annual county duel. This tournament, every year, determines the county champion, which often switches back and forth. To start of Friday night, within the lower weights, Marshall Clere pulled out a win, while the rest favored Greenbrier East. Picking back up at 152, John Parks won over East, as well as Mylik Cox winning at 160. Due to injury, senior Colten Dorsey had to sit out of his usual spot, being replaced by Farrin Moul. The next win was Colton Kessler at 182, followed by Chase Patterson, Noah Brown and Isaac Brown. Despite receiving several forfeits, it wasn’t enough to make up for previous losses, leaving Greenbrier West losing to Greenbrier East.
