At Greenbrier West High School, our culinary program received a program modernization grant. To receive the 20,000 dollar grant, the CTE class had to request the money from the Board of Education, then they had to be very specific about what they wanted to buy.

Chef Foley wanted his kitchen to simulate a real restaurant kitchen, and have everything up-to-date. New appliances that were bought are new stainless steel cabinets and counters, a smoker, freezer, mixers, blenders, food processors, steam table, and some new dishes.

The culinary program says, “ We are very grateful for what we got and we can’t wait until we get to show it all off.” “ We were doing good and now we are doing fantastic.” – Chef Foley
