This year is the first year in the history of Greenbrier West that we have been granted the ability for everyone to have free lunch. Most of you are probably thinking, “Why does this matter? I don’t eat, or I get free lunch.” Well, it does matter because it means everyone can eat. Believe it or not, some kids would go days without eating to save a buck which is not enough for students to survive off of. This grant helps tremendously. I think it’s great because it means everyone can eat. This makes me feel better for the kids who won’t eat because it’s too straining for some students financial situations. The only problem is if not enough kids eat then we will lose this grant, so at least get a tray so those that need it can have it.
