Recently, Mrs. Robertson made an announcement about a new award she’s implemented, where she chooses two seniors of the week each week. Any senior student, academically talented or not, can be chosen because it’s based on leadership. The first two students that were chose were Drake Dunn and Kayley Robbins. Drake and Kayley were chosen based off their showmanship of exceptional leadership qualities in their CTE classes, JROTC and Culinary. Both students received t-shirts and a certificate for their senior portfolio. When I asked Drake what advice he had to his classmates and other students he replied, “Do your best, be a leader when it’s needed and always be nice to others.”
