Greenbrier West qualified 10 wrestlers to go to the state tournament sadly only 9 made it with Chase Patterson being injured before the tournament. The Cavs still stayed positive and went out on Thursday night and won 6 out of 9 matches. Friday morning with all 9 wrestlers still wrestling West has some tough matches in the quarterfinals and in the consolation rounds and had Mylik Cox winning his match going to the semifinals and clinching a spot on the podium and place 5th. Colton Dorsey also wrestled all the way back from first round consolations to place 6th. West placed 3rd over all in single A closing out the season.
