A greenhouse is an enclosed building that is used to grow/start plants out of season. Temperature is maintained throughout the growing process. Here at Greenbrier West, we have an FFA group where all the classes work in the Greenhouse. The Horticulture and Advance Agriculture classes will be doing most of the work on the greenhouse. They are currently growing 2000 lettuce plants for Sunset Berry Farm in Alderson. Later in the spring, we will be able to grow starter vegetable and flowers, later in the spring they will sell them. Mrs. Byers 6th period will make the decision to ask the cooks to use their products in the lunches. Last year, Mrs. Byers 6th period opened the Greenhouse three days a week after school and on weekends to sell products.
