Cheerleading can be the star show of a football game. People and little kids watch us and how we are the center of school spirit. There are fifteen girls total including the head coach Shannon Gilkeson.  The five seniors are leaders of our team, no captains, but as a whole. Many upperclassmen have taken underclassmen under their wing and mentor them in more than just cheerleading. The team as a whole has become a family and can depend on each other for anything that comes their way. Cheerleaders attend home and away games with all their spirit and fun. The West cheerleaders recently got new, shiny pom poms made with blue or gold metallic strands. West cheerleaders will continue to go to games and share their Cavalier spirit!
