Eminem vs Donald Trump
October 13, 2017
Recently, a video was uploaded to YouTube titled “Eminem Rips Donald Trump In BET Hip Hop Awards Freestyle Cyber”. As of the time that this article was originally written, it was the number one trending video on the site with over 23 million views.
Anyway, let’s see what Eminem has to say about dear old Donald Trump. Around the one minute mark finally something interesting is said: “But we better give Obama props, cause what we got in office now is a kamikaze that will probably cause a nuclear holocaust, and while the drama pops, and he waits for things to quiet down, he’ll just gas his plane up and fly around till the bombing stops.” Alright, nuclear holocaust aside, Eminem says that he was thankful for Obama, but I don’t think that he knows Obama is a big part of why Trump was elected.
In my opinion, President Obama did a pretty terrible job, and that’s why the country wanted Trump, to change things up. If Obama did a great job, people would’ve wanted Hillary because that would have been more of the same.
In the next bar of the song, Eminem says that Trump has no bxxxs. I would have to say that this is wrong because not only did Trump have the courage to run for President, he also had the courage to stand up to many powerful groups over the last year. He stood up to the Bush and Clinton political dynasties. He also stood up against Antifa and others on the radicalized left, and he’s been calling out the NFL and North Korea. So, saying that he has no bxxxs is pretty ignorant.
The next thing Eminem says is that racism is the only thing that Trump is fantastic at, also that he’s orange. Me personally, I’m still trying to figure out the racist stuff he’s done. I know people love to say that he’s racist, but saying something over and over again doesn’t make it true. Not commenting on the “He’s orange” bit, because I don’t see how it’s relevant.
Next Eminem says that Trump is attacking the NFL and instead of focusing on real issues, he is “starting Twitter wars with the Packers”. I don’t agree with the notion that Trump attacked the NFL out of nowhere. The NFL was messing up before Trump even got involved, what with the kneeling, the low ratings, and excessive penalties. Trump just called them out on it.
Eminem goes on to say how Trump bashed Hillary and Obama for using taxpayers’ money for traveling but does it more than them. I’ll admit there is some hypocrisy here on Trump’s part. He pestered Obama and Hillary for using the taxpayers’ money to travel.
Eminem then says that Trump supports the KKK. I think he should check his sources on that because it’s obviously not true.
Next, Eminem claims that Trump is saying that “If you’re a black athlete then that means you’re a spoiled brat for trying to use your platform or stature to give a voice to the voiceless.” Yes, athletes have a right to use their platforms to push politics, but that means we the viewers have the right to make fun of them for it.
Eminem then proceeds to say Trump is going to get rid of “ALL” immigrants. However, it’s only the illegal immigrants that are the issue. The ones who committed crimes to get into the country, and the ones who bring drugs, paraphernalia, and malicious intents.
Next, he says he is going to throw Trump against his border wall until he sticks to it. I understand that Eminem feels like he is a voice for the African American community, but it seems hypocritical that he is advocating violence against Trump. The far left tend to use violence to solve violence: think Antifa.
Then he goes on to tell his fans that if they are supporters of Trump that they are “deplorable” and need to either stand with Eminem or against him. Since he hates Trump, they should hate Trump, too; he even says “f” you! This is odd because I thought the left tolerated all people. What they seem to be saying is, “We tolerate you, unless you don’t agree with our ideals.”
All things aside, even though I think Eminem just did a stupid thing, I appreciate him giving me something to write about.

“Eminem then says that Trump supports the KKK. I think he should check his sources on that because it’s obviously not true.”
The endorsement of David Duke, a former Grand Wizard of the KKK, and President Trump’s own reluctance to denounce the white nationalists that rallied at Charlottesville tell a different story.
Seth Mooney • Nov 14, 2017 at 11:38 am
So what you’re saying is that since Trump didn’t say he condemned David Duke and that he didn’t say that he did not want any white supremacist vote that automatically makes him a KKK supporter. I assume you mean that in the aftermath of Charlottesville he didn’t directly state in his tweets or in a press conference that “Oh the KKK is evil incarnate. Much condemned”
This logic makes it seem if you don’t condemn something then you support it. So if Trump didn’t condemn ANTIFA or the Black Panthers he automatically supports them. When Trump says he condemns radicalized left or radicalized right it involves these groups.

Now that the article is actually up and visible, I can say my honest opinion. Eminem’s delivery of unfunny jokes mixed in with misinformation of Trump and his presidency was below average for someone capable of being strong lyrically. “Racism is the only thing he’s Fantastic Four. Cause that’s how he gets his [hecking] rocks off and he’s orange!” I get the pun, but the joke itself is contradictory because isn’t saying negative things towards someone because of their skin tone racism? “I’m throwing that piece of [feces] against the wall till it sticks” was just plain unfunny and banal.

“If Obama did a great job, people would’ve wanted Hillary because that would have that would have been more of the same.”
I would like to point out that the people DID in fact want Hillary. We see this because Hillary won popular vote which means the people voted her for president. While the reason Trump won is because he won the electoral college which is not what the people wanted, but what the people’s representatives wanted.

Seth, I’m not saying that anything in this is factually incorrect I’m just saying people in general need to be more factually correct
Seth Mooney • Nov 14, 2017 at 11:07 am
Fair Enough

Yes, I do believe that both sides do have their own opinion on the subject, but in reality sometimes opinions should not be the only thing people go off of. Yes, I like Eminem, but at the same time I also like Donald Trump. I think facts are the most important things to focus on in an article or any opinion. Some will say that,” opinions are the only way that the people can get their voice out,” but not really. I think that fact should seriously be taken into play with this article and the arguments started around this article.

Are you saying that things in this article aren’t factually correct? If so I’d like to hear what you think isn’t correct factually,
Chrissy Bowles • Oct 20, 2017 at 2:43 pm
Maybe you can email me the article.

You mean there was an article here? I didn’t know that. I thought it was pretty awesome that Seth inspired such polarizing responses with just an article title and his name. I was thinking, “Yeah Seth!!! Just hint that you’re going to put up an article about Trump and watch the drama unfold.” I wish I had that kind of power. You got my hopes up, man.
Seth Mooney • Oct 20, 2017 at 10:42 am
The only power I seem to have is upsetting the left.

Okay Eminem is the best rapper out there and if anybody wanna argue text my email okay yall if you cant take facts then shut up okay nobody cares about ya opinion if it aint good about eminem or anything, and Donald Trump dont get me started
Seth Mooney • Oct 18, 2017 at 12:12 pm
I am not arguing that Eminem isn’t the best rapper. I am simply saying that nearly all of what he said was wrong, both in my humble opinion and factually. Also, if people didn’t care about my opinion they wouldn’t be asking Ms.Arp to put this article back up so they can read it
jarp • Oct 22, 2017 at 7:12 am
That’s true, Seth. I have never had so many people ask about an article. It is still under review by administration.
Matthew Canaan • Oct 20, 2017 at 2:52 pm
There are a lot of things that Eminem has done that makes him a completely different rapper, and I have to give credit where credit is due, but he’s not the best. His fast flow and storytelling are the only things he has to go for him. There are new-school rappers in the new age with better flow and storytelling, such as Kendrick Lamar, and his second most recent album has some of the best production I’ve seen on the planet.
Haylie • Nov 7, 2017 at 8:45 am
I personally think Eminem isn’t the “best rapper” there is, but you’re as entitled to your opinion as Seth is, in fact, his was so entitled they made it an article! But it’s “ya opinion” and the time you took to comment on the article that makes it even better form a readers stand point, thanks for the laugh!

Everyone decides to paint Eminem as this crazy liberal ever since this “diss track”, but he’s talked about it prior. In “No Favors” by Big Sean (feel free to find it on some kind of website, it’s not on YouTube) he says one line talking about Trump in a bad way.
Seth Mooney • Oct 18, 2017 at 11:29 am
I think people are painting him as a “crazy liberal” because he made an entire rap filled with incorrect information about Trump. This is more than just one single line in a song you can’t even find on YouTube.
Matthew Canaan • Oct 20, 2017 at 2:47 pm
Its not about the irrelevancy of the song, the copyright system of G.O.O.D. Music is on complete lockdown. The song came out in February
Seth Mooney • Oct 24, 2017 at 9:07 am
YouTube is copyright happy. If they find any reason to take down a video they will.
