Every year before Senior interviews, graduation, and every other event that requires Seniors to wear ties, staff at Greenbrier West notice a shocking trend: none of the Senior boys know how to tie a tie. Each time, teachers like Mr. Smailes, Coach Robertson, Mr. Foss, and even Mrs. Robertson would have a line of boys outside their doors, waiting to have their ties tied for them.

This year, however, Mrs. Robertson said “Enough!”

After the Senior Breakfast on Friday, May 19th, Mrs. Robertson held a tie-tying class open to all seniorseven the girls. Students passed ties around, shared tips, and laughed with one another as they honed their tie-tying skills.

By the end of the lesson, many of the students left with a new ability under their belts (or around their necks, in this case). Others left just as clueless as they came, though a little more entertained than before.
